Cleveland Heights 4-Ball
The Cleveland Heights 4-Ball Invitational Tournament is held every spring, typically on the first weekend in April, at the Cleveland Heights Golf Club in Lakeland, Florida. The 4-Ball is the largest amateur team golf event held in Central Florida, and one of the finest tournaments to be found anywhere! This is due, in part, to our historic 27-hole golf course developed in 1925, our gracious sponsors and wonderful volunteers–and over 288 of the best golfers around!
During 2002, the Cleveland Heights 4-Ball Invitational was incorporated as a not-for-profit, charitable (501)(C)(3) organization, and now 100% of sponsor donations are tax deductible. Our board members, associates, sponsors, volunteers and players all share a passion for the game of golf and are dedicated to contributing to higher education and the tutelage of the game of golf for our amateurs and youth of Greater Lakeland.
Since then, The 4-Ball Invitational Golf Tournament has donated more than $200,000 to charities and organizations including the Polk Education Foundation, The First Tee of Lakeland, the Junior Citrus program, and Florida Southern’s men’s and women’s programs. We have provided $126,000 in college scholarships alone for deserving high school seniors on local golf teams. In 2012, we started paying for memberships to The First Tee for middle school golfers in Lakeland, with more than $48,000 given to date. We will work diligently to grow our contributions every year.
We are always looking for new sponsors to increase our charitable contributions to the youth of Central Florida.
We offer our sincere appreciation to Cleveland Heights Golf Course, our gracious sponsors, associates, wonderful volunteers, and our terrific participants for helping us to maintain and improve one of Central Florida’s best amateur golf events every year!
